InformationsZentrum für die Wirtschaft GmbH (Business Information Center), Munich, has expanded its spectrum of services. The fortnightly “GmbH Geschäftsführer persönlich” advisory newsletter has now been joined by “Der Brief für die GmbH und &. KG.”

To take this development into account, cekom collaborated with IZW executives to broaden the site’s concept:

1. Option of subscribing to the second advisory newsletter.
Like the first newsletter, the second informative newsletter can now be ordered via a separate order form on the website. The software that administrates the subscriptions runs on an AS 400 system. Data comparison with the AS 400 database continues to occur by email via the CMS Laurin mailbox. The design of the CMS Laurin database has been modified to handle the new requirements.

2. Expansion of the client area.
IZW’s clients have the option of accessing more than 400 interesting articles in the limited-access customer area. Within the framework of the re-launch, articles that are relevant to the client’s particular kind of business are automatically selected when the client enters his/her password.

3. Improved search via an additional keyword search.
To achieve optimal search results, additional keywords have been added to the list of more than 400 keywords. These keywords can be chosen from a drop-down menu. This form of search guarantees successful hits.

Of course, it goes without saying that the site’s design also underwent a face-lift.

cekom developed an entirely new design that uncompromisingly prioritizes usability aspects.
