Advantages for Administrators

CMSLAURIN offers administrators:

  • Simple access to all of the system’s options
  • Flexible administration of rights
  • Link check
  • Complete process control / history function
  • Powerful site functions
  • Well-documented options for intervening in the system to implement special solutions

With CMSLAURIN, administrators have a powerful system for all applications that involve the administration of Web projects.

The most common administrative tasks can be performed simply and conveniently after only a very brief training period.

With CMSLAURIN’s rights administration, finely graded [feingranulierte] access rights can be defined all the way down to the element level. Editor functions (e.g. changing the style or color of the typeface) can be deactivated. Separate rights can be assigned for the release and the publishing of contents. Adaptations to suit complex workflows are also possible.

The link check monitors both internal and external links.

A history function is available on the element level. This makes it possible to restore elements or entire pages to their previous statuses whenever desired.

CMSLAURIN can display the sequence of changes. The time period for which changes are displayed is freely definable. Versions can be augmented with comments.

Comprehensive documentation helps to fulfil special requirements.

The functions that relate to entire Web sites include, among others, options for generating static pages and for cloning entire Web sites to generate derivative sites (e.g. a version in another language).

To completely master CMSLAURIN, all one needs is a good knowledge of HTML and JavaScript. If one also wants to program modules for CMSLAURIN, then thorough familiarity with SQL and server-side scripting are also needed.

This means that CMSLAURIN is not dependent upon system experts.
